If you are the type of person who looks for investments in anything from your stock portfolio to your home furniture, then you probably always look for quality over quantity. I like to buy things that will last, so I don’t need to replace things like furniture every couple of years. When it was time to get new counter stools for my kitchen, I wanted to find some that were really durable, yet stylish. I mean, I like to get my money’s worth out of things, but not at the expense of style! Who wants a houseful of ugly furnishings that they have to look at for years? I believe it is possible to get both quality and style without spending a small fortune, if you know where to look and what to look for.
The first thing I needed to bas my decision on was the material for my new kitchen island bar stools. There are many materials to choose from, but I wanted something that was sturdy and my taste. I like contemporary designs with my furniture, but not so trendy that they are out of style in 3 months. So I try and find versatile pieces that have a modern look yet can still be timeless. The way that I achieve this is to find furniture with clean, simple lines that make it look contemporary, yet not too trendy so as to be placed in very specific time period. Sometimes I mix in a couple traditional elements to give it that classic feel, and bring softness to the straight lines.
So in my barstool search, I narrowed it down to wood counter stools or metal ones, because each had their pros and cons. Wood barstools are a little warmer and tend to be more comfortable, but they can get worn down more quickly than metal barstools. Now metal barstools have clean lines, but sometimes they can seem a little cold, so I wanted to find just the right stool. When I found Premiere Barstools, I knew they were the store for me. They had hundreds of barstools for me to choose from, and because I was ordering four of them, I was going to get free shipping as well. After looking through their selection, I found the durable barstools for my kitchen. They were made of the almost indestructible metal, wrought iron, and they had upholstered seats for comfort. After receiving my shipment of new metal barstools, I found them to be exactly as promised, and all these years later they are still in my kitchen and still looking fabulous! |
